About me:
A follower of Christ, a Mississippi native, and a lover of the beauty in all things.
I bought my first camera in 2015 to start a YouTube channel but fell in love with taking pictures of everything I saw. From nature to friends and family, I became engulfed in capturing moments “just because”. Since then, I’ve taken photos on and off (senior/graduation portraits, candids of friends, family photos, etc.) but didn’t take photography seriously until 2022. I launched an Instagram, started taking bookings from people I knew, and stopped for a while to finish out my last school year as a Kindergarten teacher (Teachers, I know you understand).
Since then, I decided to get back into the craft of photography, and I’m excited to merge my passion for artistry and understanding others with the ability to help you cement memories that will last a lifetime. I understand the value of stories and documenting the present for the future, and I hope to provide a trusted space for you to feel comfortable being yourself in front of the lens.
Some facts about me:
I’ve lived in four states — Mississippi, Missouri, Georgia, and Tennessee.
I studied Psychology & African-American Studies as an undergrad and am currently working on my second Master’s degree (in Mental Health Counseling) and I love it.
I taught Kindergarten (& 1st grade) for four years in Memphis, TN.
I love yoga & am a certified yoga teacher!
Outside of photography, my favorite pastimes are going to coffee shops and journaling or reading, spending quality time with friends and family, and listening to podcasts/audiobooks.
